4th Regiment and in the first Brigade of North Carolina Militia, persuant
to orders from William Goodwin, Ephraim B. Elliott, and Josiah Perry
Eqrs., to suppress & bring to Justice certain run a way negroes that were
makeing threats of Persons lives & committing Depredations of variouse kinds
in the County of Perquimans in the Year 1821
